    Introduction to the design process

    At the beginning of your adventure as a future UX/UI Designer, you will get to know the design process from a bird’s eye view.

    We will show you various methods of developing products, share insights about the role of a designer in a team, explore the key tasks of this role, and give you an overview of the job market. We will also take a short psychology tour to show you the main cognitive pitfalls that may interfere with the everyday work of a designer.

    Collecting business requirements

    This module will show you how important it is to create user-friendly interfaces while meeting your business goals.

    We will teach you when and how to collect business assumptions for a project, and present tools for organizing product knowledge and business needs.

    Getting to know the user and organizing user insights

    This module focuses on the end-user. We will introduce you to the tools that allow carrying out quantitative and qualitative research in your daily work.

    You will learn about in-depth interviews, surveys, and tracking tools. At the end, you will create your first research scenario and explore how to effectively use the collected research data.

    IT requirements analysis

    In this module, you will learn why a UX designer needs to understand technology. We will introduce you to the basic concepts related to frontend development, SEO, Bootstrap, and other popular frameworks.

    Creating information architecture

    How to run complex projects without getting lost?

    The answer to this question lies in the User Stories method. Based on the example of an existing service, you will develop your own User Stories. We will introduce you to the concept of BPML notification that helps to describe the sequence of activities in business processes.

    Mockups and validation of the concept

    In this part, we introduce you to the world of mockups. You will learn how LoFI mockups differ from HiFi ones, and why it is sometimes worth creating mockups with a low level of detail. You will explore various design tools, and then together we will go over the basics of using Axure. Finally, you will be able to create a mockup of your own design.

    Testing is also important in the design process, so we will teach you how to verify the design, draw conclusions from tests, and optimize it.

    Final project

    In the final project, you will use the knowledge acquired in each stage of the course. Before that, however, we will introduce you to visual design tools, show you how to organize the graphic structure and what programs you can use to design the UI. Throughout the course, you will implement a project based on the prepared case in subgroups.

    In the final project, you will use the developed solutions and design a graphic layout for that project.
